Roamee ("we," "our," or "the app") is a walking tour application that provides narrated audio tours, navigation, and tour companion features. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we collect and how we use it.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address and display name. This information is used solely to authenticate your account and sync your tours, saved cities, and progress across devices.
2.2 Location Data
Roamee uses your location to provide proximity-based audio narration, navigation directions, and to display nearby attractions. Location data is processed on your device and is not stored on our servers. We request location access only while you are actively using a tour.
2.3 Tour Activity
We store your completed tours, saved tours, and tour preferences to provide personalized recommendations and track your progress. This data is associated with your account and stored securely.
2.4 Photos
If you use the Photo Drop feature, photos you upload are stored securely and may be visible to other Roamee users at that attraction. You can delete your photos at any time.
2.5 Chat Messages
Tour chat messages are processed in real time to generate responses and are not stored permanently. Chat history exists only during your active tour session.
2.6 Analytics
We collect anonymous usage analytics (such as screens visited, features used, and error logs) to improve app quality. This data does not include personal information and cannot be used to identify you.

- Syncing your tours, progress, and preferences across devices
- Providing personalized tour recommendations
- Delivering proximity-based audio narration during active tours
- Processing tour chat queries
- Improving app performance, stability, and user experience
4. Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following third-party services that are necessary to operate the app:
- Supabase — secure database hosting and authentication
- Google — sign-in authentication
- Apple — sign-in authentication, in-app purchases, and App Store services
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Your account data is retained for as long as your account remains active. You may delete your account at any time from the app settings, which will permanently remove all associated data from our servers.

You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Opt out of analytics collection
- Request a copy of your data
7. Children's Privacy
Roamee is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of Roamee after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
